Description
Grasslands are among the most diverse ecosystems and play a critical role in supporting biodiversity and ecological functions. Despite their ecological and economic significance, transcriptomic resources for wild grassland species remain scarce. In this study, we present full-length transcriptomes for the shoot tissue of natural accessions from 25 wild grassland plant species, collected from the field site of the long-term grassland biodiversity experiment, the Jena Experiment. Using PacBio Iso-Seq technology, we generated a total of 522.45 million subreads, which were assembled into isoforms for each species independently. This dataset offers a valuable full-length transcriptomic resource for investigating gene expression, alternative splicing, and evolutionary patterns in wild grassland plant species, providing a foundation for future functional genomics and conservation research.
