Schefflera 'hindenburgensis' sp. ined.: Small, very stout terrestrial tree in regrowth near road under full sun; leaves in large terminal rosettes; mixed Nothofagus-dominant (on uplands) and Lithocarpus-mixed (in gullies) forest (cut back near road); alt 1470 m; leaflets mid-green above, glossy, whitish (here and there also brownish)-hairy, primary lateral veins conspicuous; inflorescence above leaves, c. 2 m across, branches 100, crowded along an elongate main axis and spreading or ascending in all directions; maturing fruits smooth, whitish with an orange-reddish tinge (a few ripe ones purple), pedicels green [Usually terrestrial here but can also be epiphytic]
